extremely niche but extremely eye opening and informative for those it applies to
for a nonfiction book, the primary writing style is also pretty engaging…however, it feels very very repetitive towards the end.
the memoirs from people are interesting also!!
if you are reading this book bc you or someone you love has and/or is struggling with SPD, this is a fantastic resource
but if you just want to learn more about something, and it doesn’t apply to you especially, it might be a bit boring and repetitive if you lack that connection to the content that makes it feel more relevant and important.
as a young child i struggled with SPD but i have seemingly—rare as it might be—grown out of SPD for the most part. so this book wasn’t 100% relatable, and therefore felt a bit slow, but i also did identify with and relate to some of the struggles that other people talked about.
