When I first read this book at 16, it completely blew my mind. However, back then it was called Blink, and it has been edited and changed since then, which makes me want to find my old copy and compare the two versions.

There were lots of things that I liked about this book, and the concept is very intriguing. However, romance is not Ted Dekker's forte and I think the story would have been stronger without it. There were also quite a few secondary or tertiary characters that didn't make sense to me; their motivations, betrayals, or disappearances.

I was worried that Blink would fall far short of my recollection, but it was pretty decent, and did encourage me to pick up some of Dekker's other books for a long overdue re-read.
