I'm really bummed about this one. I love dystopian, apocalyptic stories. Add magick and fantasy and I'm usually enthralled.
I've read PC Cast before and I do like her writing.
However, this book was just so boring. It dragged, and dragged. Plus, so many elements were so similar to the Tales of a New World series. It just didn't give me the satisfaction I usually get when reading a book.
To make things worse, there was never a resolution as to what actually caused the bombs and how the rest of the world was faring.
That's probably not where the author wanted it to go. As a reader, I would have enjoyed that piece resolved.
I absolutely loved book 1 but this one left way too much to be desired.
