I just plain loved this book - these two are fun and caring and steamy and connected. It’s easy to see how they can fall for each other so quickly and get swept into their journey. There’s also more hockey in this one, without overwhelming the story, and some tragic consequences that are realistic to the game, unfortunately. Some things get resolved, some things don’t - just like life, not all things are black and white. Yay for having a few realistic conversations and issues surrounding workplace romances and power dynamics. The emotional roller-coaster they go on and the level of commitment they have to each other to get through it made for a powerful read and pretty much perfect HEA.

I am now fully invested in this world and can’t wait to see what the author brings to life in it next.
