On Writing: A Memoir of the Craft

I was surprised that I enjoyed this book as much as I did. I like writing books, but a lot repeat the same information and aren't very useful. I found Stephen King laid out his methods and thoughts on writing very clearly here and they actually helped me think differently about how I write. His ideas about editing were interesting to me because I am constantly trying to be a better editer and some of the things he mentioned I'd never thought in such clear terms. I especially like the examples he gives throughout the book and the longer example of his editing process and reasoning at the end of the book with his 1408. Definitely an interesting book and useful tool for any writers and I'd recommend it for anyone interested in learning more about the process.
