Kill Game by Cordelia Kingsbridge

5.0

Third reread 2020: Rereading this less than a year since my last reread doesn't make this book any less exciting <3
I love everything about it, from the casual diversity to the easily flowing writing, the characters and plot.

Content warnings include: murder, suicide, violence, hostage situation, officer involved shooting, gambling addiction, breaking up of a serious year long relationship, character in a relationship kisses someone else while drunk, alcohol consumption and drunk characters, bribery, substance abuse, sex on-page; mentions of homophobia, rape, domestic violence, child abuse.

Original review 2017: Holy shit, this was AMAZING.
Kill Game is so fast-paced and easy to read I finished it in a single sitting. It's so good I barely know what to say.
I loved the characters, their personalities, flaws and dynamics. The plot is so exciting and has so many twists and turns I literally couldn't put the book down and I have a burning need for the rest of the series (which will be released over the next year, one book every three months).

I can't wait to find out more about everything and everyone and of course who the Seven of Spades Killer really is (since I'm pretty sure they are one of the characters introduced in book1 already).
