Infinite Detail by Tim Maughan
3.0

I am not the audience for this book, the narrative style is much too sparse and concept driven. Although of course the concept is the reason I picked up this book and what kept me going. The dystopian vision is very convincing and I liked the diversity and variety of perspectives in the characters. But man, everything else is skin deep. The book really hinges on the Event and it’s aftermath, the ideas are just brimming and interesting. I wish I could have connected more to it but I suppose that was never the intention.

Very interesting concepts & vision, narrative structure not as much.
