So, I finished the book hours before I actually figured out what the ending meant! *face palm* The plot twist changed everything about this book (which is obviously the point of a plot twist). I found some aspects of the plot sick, twisted, and highly manipulative (in typical McFadden thriller fashion).Trigger warnings should be included at the start of these books because McFadden always hits the touchiest subjects. I found all the characters disturbed and in need of help. I can't truly say I enjoyed the plot because of this (hence the rating) but the twist ending did bump up the stars a bit. If you like thrillers and other McFadden books, there's a good chance you'll enjoy this one too.
