A enjoyable book that is set about smugglers in the 19th Century. It is a kind of coming of age book and almost felt like a YA book of its time. I listened to the audiobook and the narrator did a great job of helping to pull me into the story. There are a few things that are a bit meh like the ending but the friendship between john and Elzevir was very well done.
