Easily my favorite classic. A Picture of Dorian Gray was a surprising read for me. I knew very little going in but finished pleasantly surprised. As I was reading it was clear it was written a while ago, but somehow still felt modern to me. Without spoilers, the ending was surprising yet predictable, because of the pop culture references to this book. As stated before I didn't know too much about this book before reading but I was familiar with the story as portrayed in Penny Dreadful the TV show, which is very different than the book.
