𝙼𝚢 𝚂𝚒𝚜𝚝𝚎𝚛, 𝚝𝚑𝚎 𝚂𝚎𝚛𝚒𝚊𝚕 𝙺𝚒𝚕𝚕𝚎𝚛, written by Oyinkan Braithwaite, was a dark, funny, frustrating, and overall good read. The book centers around two sisters, Korede and Ayoola. As the eldest, Korede is given the responsibility of her younger sister. She cares for her and tries her best to be by her side, even after Ayoola commits murder again.

To me, the book starts well, but as I kept listening to its audiobook version, the more I liked it. I loved how the chapters were short but still flowed smoothly. It didn't feel awkward as I listened to it. Another thing that I also loved were the themes shown in the book. You can see the contrast between the responsibility of an elder and younger siblings, the importance of money, and lastly, the realness of pretty privilege. You can also feel that even though Korede and Ayoola often disagree with each other, by the end of the day, you know that they'll always have each other no matter what happens. [Even if it involves postponing dinner to clean the bloody mess your sister created from stabbing her boyfriend, haha.]

Some may see that Ayoola is annoying at times, which makes me think that Korede deserves better. But this little detail that I felt while I listened makes me applaud Oyinkan Braithwaite even more. To make a character annoying to readers, but when they look at it from a different perspective, they could see that the character's characteristics are actually perfect for the plot, which is something to be proud of.

Overall, this was a good read. I'd definitely recommend this to those looking for a fast-paced read where the plot is good and interesting.
