Monstress, Vol. 1: Awakening
by Marjorie M. Liu
Holy. This is so good. Storywise and artwise.
The story is so engaging, horryfing, sad making and adorable (in some ways) at the same time.
I love Maika so much. The way she follows her goals and the struggles because of what lives inside her? Wow.
Ren and Kippa are awesome too. Even though, Ren, really?
The art? Wow. It's so gorgeous. All these little details and the imagination going into it is incredible. I mean, horses with feathers and horns. The dead gods. Sir Corvin. Everything. ♥
Just, wow.
