put on my radar by Alice Wong’s Disability Visibility newsletter. this book is an abolitionist and anti-capitalist look at mental health from a UK perspective/location but widely applicable as things aren’t too different here in the US. learned a lot from the history of how capitalism changed how we view mental health disorders as people are increasingly taken out of home and community and instead human worth and value is placed on how much capital one can generate.
