Did not finish book. Stopped at 19%.

It’s like the author was told “write a book about animals but not in a good way” 

Too dark and way too slow. And then when things happen, way too gory. 

If made into a movie, I don’t know I’d believe the “no animals were harms in the making of this” disclaimer
