The Borgia Bride by Jeanne Kalogridis
5.0
Much to my surprise, I really enjoyed this book! I like historical novels but often find the main characters too modern in their attitudes and sensibilities or the historical fact-futzing too annoying. Perhaps because I'm rather unfamiliar with this period of Italian history, any historical mistakes went over my head, and I was able to simply enjoy the storytelling.
Not for the faint of heart, as Kalogridis does write about the infamous romantic connections between Lucrezia and her father and brother.
