Split Tooth by Tanya Tagaq

Blown away. Damn. This book broke my heart and then put it back together and broke it again? Hard to describe but it was an experience. I feel like I was in a different world. Which was true in a literal sense in that this was a part of the world I’ve never visited but moreso because it put a fantastical lens on every pert of being alive. Part prose, part poetry, and raw power.

This book pushed the boundaries of my imagination and is a perfect example of what I love about reading. It made me consider my place in the world and my connection to the intangible things. Shit hurt my heart
