The Eye of the World by Robert Jordan

4.0

This book was a strange one for me. I loved it when I was reading it, but I put it down for a few months and didn't pick it up again. I couldn't stop thinking about the books, but still never picked it back up.

The plot grabs your attention from the beginning and keeps your attention throughout, even though it is a little slow at the beginning. The action is sprinkled through the story. every time I found I wanted to put the books down, something interesting happened so that I would have to carry on reading.

All the characters where likeable people, Nynaeve was the only character that seemed to get on my nerves a little, she was whiny and complained about everything they were doing, trying to control the rest of the characters but then carried on the adventure anyway.

My favourite character is Lan, he is a little mysterious but extremely royal.

A hint of romance happened towards the end of the book, but it didn't play a major role in the plot and doesn't distract from the main story.

The ending made me want to pick up the next book immediately but due to other reading commitments, I couldn't. I can't wait till next month, where I will definitely pick it up. overall I loved the story and the writing and would recommend this book.
