The Love Season by Elin Hilderbrand
4.0

When you read Elin Hilderbrand you pretty much know what you’re going to get, and that’s just fine with me! With the cadence and feel of a comfortable and familiar (but spicer and edgier!!) Hallmark movie, Hilderbrand explores friendship, family, and forgiveness. CONTENT WARNING: there was some problematic language regarding developmental issues and a sentence or two about women suffering through suggestively sexual comments at work in order to progress in their careers, which frankly, I’m surprised weren’t edited out! Also there is a death due to drunk driving and a brief description of self mutilation at the end.
