The Glass Hotel
by Emily St. John Mandel
Read for a book club which I'm glad for because I might not have picked it up otherwise. (Not my preferred/comfort genre.) I enjoyed the non-linear narrative, and it's full of mystery (spanning decades) and twists--so many reveals! I enjoyed the many point of views and how their lives were drastically effected by the events.
Slight spoiler--My only complaint is that I wish it'd been more concrete about the ghosts. I felt like it was a bit philosophical/literary at times in ways that I'm not a big fan of, which made the storytelling drag a bit, but overall, it's brilliant! Perhaps might have wished for more insight into Vincent and Paul's childhood, their relationship with each other and their dad, and each with their moms. (I know that wasn't the point of this story but I was expecting/hoping more there but didn't get anything.)
