Resisting the Running Back is book 5 in the Nash Brothers series. It is a heartwarming, best friends to lovers, fake dating romance that will have you swooning. Miller is the twin of Tanner from Quitting the Quarterback, and you know you fell in love with Miller when you read that story. Sophie is Miller’s best friend, they’ve been friends since high school, while Miller has been secretly pining after her.

Miller is the epitome of book boyfriends, he is there for Sophie no matter what time, day, or what issues she’s having. He will drop everything and go to her. Miller is super protective and encourages Sophie to make being an author her career, which is her dream. It’s not all rainbows and sunshine though, they have obstacles to work through and feelings of unworthiness and doubt creep in. But the connection they have draws them in and communicating what they both want and need they figure they need and want each other.

Their chemistry was top notch. Their banter back and forth had me laughing my booty off. The SLOW burn was worth it. You could feel their love and lust growing for each other with each passing page and you just want to yell GO FOR IT! But when they do, it’s like fireworks exploding on the page. If you want some tension, longing, and lusting that is so palpable right from the first page this book is what you are looking for.
