This book was probably my favorite of this series. We have so many of my favorite tropes with first loves, friends to lovers, found family and I love how this book tackles some big things, but in a way that felt like it took care with the topics. I really appreciate how well Kennedy always takes care when she explores heavy topics in her books. This book had me crying over my love for these two main characters, who have both fought so long and hard to get to each other, and their journey to see if they can make it all work. I truly loved this book and I swear I am impressed EVERY TIME I read a new Kennedy Ryan book. Knowing that this was her first series just continues to blow me away because it was so well done. I am glad she writes in 1st person POV now though, as that is the one thing I did not love.
