Show Me Wonders

I pride myself on having words. Lots of them. I never know when to shut up. show me Wonders took my words. It took them and threw them into the garbage disposal. I love to write reviews that recap, give a hint of what’s inside and encourage readers to give the book and/or the author a chance. Being the third book in the Water Air Earth Fire series, readers should have an idea of what they’re getting into, which makes me feel much better about my inability to write this without crying.
The only words that came to me about this book are as follows (and my dear friend Mat said I should screenshot these words from our chat into my review and leave it at that).
show me Wonders was f@*king perfection. And equally as horribly not perfect. And devastating. So beautifully well-written that I felt the pain of these characters in my soul. Jackson through his desire to be a better man, to be worthy of having a family with Oliver and his daughter Megan and to feel the love he knows Oliver has for him & reciprocate it. Oliver through his desire to overcome his agoraphobia, anxiety and other mental health struggles, to be the best dad to his daughter, Megan, to find Jackson and show him the love he feels for him so they can be whole by being together.
How ironic that the first words in the book are “Don’t cry.” because I cried with my heart, my soul and my mind through most of the book. The first page in the book brought me to tears when I came back to it to write this review, “And on that day, I will show you the wonder of a world where we never have to say goodbye again.” A terrifying tragedy threw them together, past mistakes split them apart and love brought them back. A hard-fought, beautifully devastating and well-deserved Happily Ever After for these once broken men, repaired by the wonder of their love.
