The Notebook by Nicholas Sparks
3.5
I AM A FAN OF THE MOVIE! Hence I was scared to read to book at first...
To start on a good note: I liked Sparks' writing style and his way of depicting love (uncommon for male writers lol). Yet I missed sparks:( Pun intended.
In the movie, we were shown a much better love backstory. In the book, we only got a few pages of their so-called "amazing summer love" and then we were simply supposed to believe that after yeaaarssss they still could not get over each other? I mean if Sparks would have depicted the summer love in a epic way this would be logical. Now it just felt a bit rushed and childish.
Overall, still an amazing love story. I still cried. Could have sobbed if it had Sparks by Sparks;) 3/5⭐️
