i still cannot believe mo dao zu shi has gotten an english translation and that i own it!

i get so immersed into this world, i love so much about it. admitting that means i’m very biased on my review i mean i’ve read a translation before, i’ve watched the live action, i know the characters i love, i know the ones i hate i knew everything that was going to show up.

this book was a really good read for me because i had the difficulties of trying to understand the world by watching the live action first. with that being said if this is something you’re wanting to read then maybe you could try watching a version, i was really glad i had before going into the original work and i plan to do that for the authors other stories.

for the book itself i understood that it wasn’t going to be a perfect translation and i didn’t care much if it’s wording wasn’t the best because of that, plus it’s a huge step up from the translation i read on the internet.

i seriously love this world and my book has been tabbed, highlighted and annotated so much i look like a madman(woman) myself!! i really appreciated the guide at the back it helped me remember a lot and highlighted how some words are pronounced as well as that the artwork scattered in the book was amazing!! i can’t wait to see how the 2nd volume will be
