This story was surprisingly relevant given the time it's set. I didn't know what it was about before reading, it quickly escalates, but mostly is a beautifully told story about not beautiful themes.
Graphic: Racism, Suicidal thoughts, Medical content, Body horror, Racial slurs, Sexism, Medical trauma, Suicide attempt, Suicide, and Sexual assault
Moderate: Chronic illness and Infertility
Minor: Rape
