Birthday Girl by Penelope Douglas

5.0

Whoa. I was not expecting to actually like this book when I first started it. It was a little cringy and a lot awkward. But after I pushed through the first few chapters it became a sweet and SEXY romance. I can honestly say it has become a new favorite!

It wasn’t so much a book about a girl projecting, with some major daddy issues. But it became a real love story. I think that it takes some serious talent to tell this type of story without it becoming, very taboo and very uncomfortable. Major kudos to Douglas for telling this story with finesse.
