While I selected many of the trigger warnings below, I do not feel most of them were very graphic compared to other books in this genre. This book centers around a cold case, describes how the body is found, and eventually the reader is privy to how the death occurred. Descriptions of the murder are not, imo, excessively graphic for shock value; are only used to move the story forward and serve as a path to closure for the characters and readers alike. I'd say the biggest potential triggers would be for alcohol abuse, alcoholism, Domestic violence/abusive familial relationships. These descriptions are also not the most graphic I've read in comparable books of this genre, but French's excellent writing had me feeling every part of what these characters were grappling with. If you're sensitive to any of the triggers I ranked as "graphic", please take care of yourself as you read Faithful Place. <3
