This book left an impact in my life and on my soul from page one. I related to Maddie through the entire story because she was a bearer of weight that she had no business bearing at such a young age. But also, Maddie is a trooperโ like myself. She endured many things yet she never let anything truly stop her., except for her dad. He was worth it. He loved her genuinely. I didnโt really like her mother, because letโs call a spade a spadeโ she wasnโt the best one she could be. I wish that she nurtured Maddie way more. My heart truly broke for Maddie in all aspects of her life. This book touched on so many subjects that the world needs to hear. Itโs so hard to write an honest review without spoiling the book! I will say that this book was captivating and prodigious. I learned so much not only about Maddie and her hurdles but also about myself. This is without a doubt my favorite book this year so far.
