I Am Malala: The Girl Who Stood Up for Education and Was Shot by the Taliban by Malala Yousafzai
4.0
Fantastic read. Part personal memoir, part political history of Pakistan and surrounding region, the book is infused throughout with proud advocacy for the basic right to education and freedom from gender discrimination. Also, enjoy the fun reminders here and there that the eloquent writer whose story you are privileged to hear is, in fact, a teenage girl. And that we need more like her in our world.
