Its good to put light on domestic violence, its an important topic. But i felt like it became so romanticized. Which in the start was good, because it gave a more realistic view of how it feels like to be a victim of it, like how you dont see what is happening yourself. What i mean to criticize is how it was so simplified with a lack of depth in a way that doesnt actually do the topic of domestic violence justice. The story romanticize it more than it actually manages to tell how damaging and painful that experience actually is because of the simplification and the view being mostly focused on the romantic relationship between the three main characters as like a love triangle thing, if that makes sense. I feel like the book would be so much better at actually portraying what it felt like it was supposed to if it focused on the main character and ryle instead of also taking in atlas as another love interest.
This is maybe more a criticism to how the story was taken by the readers, but at the same time it also show a lack of depth and poor presentation from the writer.
