I struggled with Tolkien's often verbose way of writing more than usual with this book, and also felt the format wasn't ideal - retelling the same story several times with slightly different edits. Still gave it a decent rating as I do love his work, and wish my brain had had a bit more bandwidth when I was reading this to be able to digest it properly.
