Across the Universe by Beth Revis
3.0

Disappointing. This book could have been genius and even begins that way. The book is well-written, the characters evoke emotional responses, the premise is even inventive for dystopian fiction. The black & white are a little too black & white, the grays nearly nonexistent and the need for this to be the beginning of the series rather than a standalone book harms the book.

I wanted to love this book, (and it's probably a 3.5 but I can only do whole numbers), but I just didn't.

I do think you'll like Amy and Harley and Elder if you bring them home, though.
