The Wallflower, Vol. 1 by Tomoko Hayakawa
fast-paced
Flaws of characters a main focus: Yes

Quirky and mildly insane… just how I like it hehehe. On a more serious note, it’s such a product of its time (which makes it… interesting!) and the author adlibs are all really fun and personal. I love looking up all the (now) obscure references and getting greater insight into what’s happening, and the edition I’m reading comes with a context guide for different scenes and an honorifics dictionary (very cool and not common in Manga).
Author seems like she writes to her whim which is the best way sometimes. Will keep you updated 🫶
