The Faceless Old Woman Who Secretly Lives In Your Home by Joseph Fink, Jeffrey Cranor

5.0

I didn’t expect this book to make me breakdown into tears, but by golly, it did. I read Welcome to Night Vale, but this book felt much different to that.

Alternating between modern day, where the faceless old woman seems to indirectly direct Craig’s life down an invisible path and the 1800s where we become more familiar with her origins, this is a special and unique tale.

Narrated by the old woman herself, we get a clear picture of a strong, complicated female protagonist. There are pirates, revenge plots, Night Vale Quirkiness, and so much more. I loved it.
