"We were already so much more than a number on a piece of paper. And if you'd come to me, you would have had someone in your corner, ready to fight anyone who hurt you. Ready to fight for you."

Highly recommended for those who loved The Love Hypothesis

It took me quite a while to finish this book, but it's not because I didn't like it, it's more like my responsibilities smacked me in the face the past few days.

I loved almost all the characters in this book, except for Jess' mom because she's ugh. Jess and River are adorable. Despite being forced into fake dating, there's this undeniable connection between them. Their chemistry, banters, and tension are all chef's kiss. And there's Felicity/Fizzy! This crackhead writer bestie of Jess is so lovable! Every time she drops a line, I end up laughing out loud. And the scene at the ending, where Jess and River are trying to fix things between them, and Fizzy is just there watching them over Zoom call got me rolling in laughter and embarrassment.

All in all, it's a fun read. I enjoyed every moment. Would've rated it 5 stars if only we get to see more of River's backstory.
