Definitely the best work of Sally Rooney so far. I started assuming that the book while it can be good as the rest, it can't be better. But man, have I been proven wrong. This book is utter perfection as my friend described. Three of us read and finished it together and it was a beautiful and deep experience for us.
Her writing is smooth as water as always. Characters are deeply relatable and they come from an acute observation of this generation, the people we live with and the times we live in. Never have I read a more profound and realistic exploration of friendship between two adult friends.
This books has firmer and a happier ending compared to her previous books which I believe may be in response to the pandemic.
