This was my first time reading Liz's work but it definitely won't be the last. Everyone who knows me knows how much I absolutely adore hockey romances and this one might be a top 20 book.

This book follows Zanders, your classic hockey big shot who thinks he's better than everyone. Stevie is the girl who really doesn't want to be in the spotlight but happens to work for one of the biggest teams in the NHL and of course, Zanders. Now both have family issues and a history that have caused them to be closed off to the concept of love, but they tear each other's walls down trip by trip.

But what I loved about this book most? Let me tell you the three top things:
1. Zanders is a softie who honestly isn't who the media perceives him to be, and every instance we see him with his walls down he makes you swoon.
2. The inclusion of a plus sized main female protagonist who actually loved herself regardless of what others said (but also who succumbed to the thoughts of others because let's be honest, she is a human after all)
3. The focus on mental health and therapy, because we can ALL agree that's a stigma in every world we live in - fantasy or reality.

I also have to admit, watching Zanders own up to the wrongs he did and grudges he held for no reason made me very happy. And seeing Stevie stand up to her bullies, like POP OFF queen. It's also swoon-worthy to see a man so huge, handsome and who was supposed to be the bad boy be such a mush and needy boyfriend for his girl.

The book was honestly a joy to read and you really got to walk through the lives of the characters and feel like you've been included in every aspect of point A to B.
