This book did 'dreamlike' incredibly well. I found it a little slow and ungrounded at first which left me distracted and not fully engaged. As the book progressed however I fell more into this book's world and couldn't put it down. I found the premise interesting and thought the author executed the very unusual, unique memory-loss concept very well.
Not the best book I've read this year, but I did really enjoy it. While there were some tense moments, I'm used to the books I read having more. The lack of tension and urgency though is well placed in this book, because it's a reflection of how the characters are reacting to their situation.
It was very reflective and introspective. It's the sort of book I know I'll continue to think about more.
