The Adventures of Tom Sawyer by Mark Twain

Wonderfully cheerful (even the dark bits!) and such an easy read. I grew attached to the characters and the tone the book was written in was just brilliant. The clever air of sarcasm and how dramatic even the simple things seemed was great. Funny and unlike anything else I have read.
