Timepiece surprised me, made me laugh, and brought a little bit of confusion to my life. I loved Kaleb as the narrator. He never lied to himself and told it like it was with a little dash of humor (actually, a whole heaping spoonful). No matter how much I liked Emerson as the main focus in Hourglass, Kaleb was a breath of fresh air. His cocky attitude made me laugh out loud and the way he figures himself out throughout the novel is captivating.
