Lessons in Chemistry by Bonnie Garmus

3.0

This book is written in an engaging way, but the plot and characters I just did not like by the end. The story didn't feel cohesive and seemed not to have a clear message at the end. The attempt at feminism is pretty counterproductive-a woman (or man) does not have to be educated to be valuable. And, as someone with doctorate-level education, the idea of listening to someone speak scientifically in normal day-to-day life is majorly cringe-worthy. I liked the 1st 100 pages focused on Calvin, and that's about it.
