I love this concept, but the lack of nuance is killing me slowly. They are caricatures of the two extreme ideas about men and women. The result - I despise every single character. The heroine's so judgmental and unwilling to observe another culture and yet she's an archeologist?! The hero- I hope he's back over by a truck his. Beyond the exaggerated and extremely grating ideologies of the characters. There's homophobic slurs used and some issues with race that I'm giving major side eye.  And in this political climate, I simple do not need to subject myself to this any further.
