The point where Darren

causes Steve to kill him, thus messing up Des Tiny’s plans, is one of my favourite moments in the series and

is depicted well by Arai. As this is one of my favourite parts I obviously remembered it, what I did not remember however was the fact that

Mr Tiny is actually Darren and Steve’s real father.

I love the front cover of the volume picturing Darren and Steve fighting the final fight and then back when they are children playing together again. It was great to see Darren

go back into the past and get to see everyone again, particularly Crepsley.

This was a great end to the manga series that has done justice to Shan’s books.
