Unnatural Creatures: Stories Selected by Neil Gaiman by Neil Gaiman

5.0

THIS is what I want a collection of short stories to be. Neil Gaiman's taste is impeccable. Every single story was wonderful from beginning to end. It's the sort of book you'll want on your shelf forever so that whenever you want something wonderful to read for 20-30 minutes you can pick it up and flip to any story in the book.

My favorites were a story with a title that looks like a long inkblot, by Gahan Wilson, The Cartographer Wasps and the Anarchist Bees, by E. Lily Yu, Sunbird, by Neil Gaiman, and The Smile on the Face, by Nalo Hopkinson. The others didn't lodge in my brain as deeply, but they were all delightful.
