Pachinko by Min Jin Lee
4.0
4*
Loved loved this book in the first two thirds but for some reason the end lost it a little for me. I ended up not caring about the late characters thrown into the mix. Sunja was my favourite story to read. I liked that the historical aspects were in the background while the family and their journeys were at the forefront. I have actually been to a Pachinko in Japan but did not realize that's what their called until reading this! I also did not know about the dynamic between Japan and Korea in that time. Solid read.
