Beneath the Stands by Emily McIntire

5.0

Another perfect score for this book. I just love Emily's books. Ill definitely be reading this one again soon .
Becca is through with her overbearing parents and decides to tell them she can make it on her own. She's going to stay in Florida instead of returning after graduation to Sugar lake, Tennessee. She quickly hunts down a job on campus with Coach Andrews as a basketball assistant. Only one problem? She doesn't know the first thing about the game. In walks the arrogant Eli, her best friends brother and the guy that gets her blood boiling ever since she was a kid. After all, he left his family and her poor best friend had to shoulder everything by herself. Becca soon starts lessons with Eli and things heat up fast.
Eli is excited for his assistant coach position with FCU. After suffering a career ending injury, he isn't sure how to rebuild but he knows no matter what, he's on his own. Without basketball he isn't anything important.
The chemistry between these two was beyond hot. I loved every minute of their angsty banter and emotional connection. They both wanted the same thing but could they admit it and let the other in or were they destined to be alone?
This book is everything good in the romance genre. It's a must read for sure.
