I should have given that a bit more investigation. I thought this was a series, not an interconnected standalone with different characters in the five books. 200 pages is not long enough to adequately execute a plot, or perhaps it is but she just didn't. There was very little plot happening and the conflicts were very quickly resolved. Gives a person whiplash. Will not be continuing.
