Other Broken Things by Christa Desir

Character-driven with a huge helping of 'earn your happy endings'!

I liked that Nat wasn't a perfect or sometimes even likable character. She does stupid, selfish, immature things. Which is apt, because this is a book about addiction. It's rare that an author has the courage to write a realistic addict rather than trying to justify their addiction. That for me was the most significant part of the book.
