Well that was emotional 🥲 a friend recommended this one, and I'm glad they did!
May I first of all say that Laura Dean sucks?? Curious to think what happens to her after high school, but also I wonder what stuff she had going on under the surface that made her like that.
Anyway, I don't think I've read many, if any, LGBTQIA+ stories that center around toxic relationships, so that was interesting to see. I also wasn't expecting theabortion part to come into the story at all, but I love the way it was handled. That was probably my favorite part, especially how Freddy finally came through for her friend and told Laura Dean to suck it lol. Relationships are hard. But friendships are so important, and I appreciate that message in this book. Also the art was really lovely and evoked the emotion of the book so well.
