A Master of Djinn by P. Djèlí Clark

4.0

The best thing about this book and this entire universe is how it handles Egypt and Cairo with respect. It’s delightful to see intricate details woven into the grand scheme, accurate history (up until the world becomes a fantastical work of art), and a somewhat accurate depiction of the typical Egyptian.
The story is compelling, but could be predictable in some places and plain childish in others. It’s still a beautiful and delightful read.
